Strategically positioned within a brief ten-minute drive from the heart of Abu Dhabi City, our initial approach to the property left us awestruck by its impressive contemporary architecture and expansive scale. The first moments upon arrival left a lasting impact; we couldn’t help but be captivated by the well-lit and spacious lobby adorned with a collection of intricately suspended glass ornaments from the ceiling.
The resort occupies a unique position along the pristine Saadiyat beach, one of the most exquisite shores in the Arabian Gulf. An exclusive 400-meter private beach, accessible via a picturesque promenade through natural sand dunes, seamlessly connects to a vast nine-kilometer stretch of pristine white sands. Each guest is treated to an exceptional front-row seat to awe-inspiring natural beauty and the opportunity to witness undisturbed wildlife, including hawksbill turtles, dugongs, humpback and bottlenose dolphins, flamingos, and gazelles.
The experience
The staff exhibited exceptional attentiveness, immediately putting us at ease with a seamless and efficient check-in process. Before long, we were escorted to our room, absorbing the breathtaking views of the meticulously landscaped gardens and the captivating cobalt blue sea through the expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Our accommodations exuded a modern, luminous ambiance, boasting a spacious balcony area that provided uninterrupted vistas of the sea. The room was generously adorned with contemporary, comfortable furnishings and luxurious high-quality linens. The elegantly marbled bathroom featured an indulgent standalone bathtub, expansive basins, and a contemporary rain shower.
The resort’s reverence for its distinct location has led to a conscious choice of adopting a luxury “eco-conscious” ethos. In partnership with a local water treatment company, guests are provided locally-sourced, filtered still and sparkling water in eco-friendly reusable sports bottles that can be conveniently refilled at the resort’s water stations. Additionally, the resort has taken steps to eliminate the use of plastic straws, opting for straws made from recycled materials.
After settling in, we eagerly embarked on a leisurely lunch at Mare Mare, where we had the pleasure of sitting beside the infinity pool for adults, taking in the magnificent beach views and the sparkling sea beyond. Mare Mare stands as a haven for seafood enthusiasts, offering a delectable selection of the freshest seafood, heavenly pizza oven-baked creations, and Mediterranean delights. Notably, the seafood salad with raspberry dressing and fennel shavings, the sautéed mussels and clams with fresh tomato, and the seasonal grilled seafood ensemble come highly recommended. Our children’s faces lit up upon being presented with wood-fired Mickey Mouse pizzas from the kids’ menu!
Post-lunch, our children’s enthusiasm led them to the vibrantly adorned Kids Club, where they were warmly welcomed and engaged in various activities within the games room, soft play area, outdoor playground, and crafting space. The remainder of the afternoon was spent by the children in the outdoor kids’ pool and on the beach, while we relished a leisurely stroll along the promenade, immersing ourselves in the sea breeze, before settling comfortably on loungers for some well-deserved relaxation.
As the afternoon transitioned into evening, we were treated to a “Saadiyat Revitalizing Massage.” This full-body, deep tissue massage incorporated ancient therapeutic techniques, gentle flowing movements, acupressure point stimulation, and soothing stretches. The SPA experience itself was an sensory journey; NEOM organics essential oils diffused inviting aromas, immediately melting away stress as we sipped on invigorating ginger tea, enveloped in plush robes awaiting our treatment. The massage was truly exceptional, meticulously tailored to address our individual aches and tensions, leaving us in a state of blissful relaxation and rejuvenation.
For dinner, we chose “The Lounge,” a fifth-floor enclave offering exquisite sea views and a captivating open-air atmosphere. The culinary offerings focus on European cuisine, with a spotlight on flavors and innovative sharing platters, making it an ideal setting for either a romantic dinner for two or a vibrant social gathering. Notable highlights included the lobster tacos with spicy mayo and basil, the tuna poke embellished with edamame, sesame, ginger, and shiso avocado, the zesty shrimp complemented by mayonnaise, and, for dessert, the assortment of miniature fruit sorbet cones.

Our delightful gastronomic journey continued with our experience at the chic all-day dining venue, ‘White,’ where a rich blend of local and international dishes were artfully presented alongside interactive live cooking stations. The expansive open area was a pleasure to dine in, and we were captivated by the diverse array of culinary creations. The breakfast spread was truly exceptional, featuring a wide range of healthful yet delectable offerings, including vibrant morning health shots and a frozen smoothie station – a delightful way to enjoy all our daily nutrients in a single serving!
As the day turned to night, our family reveled in the simple pleasures of feeling the sand between our toes and the gentle sea breeze brushing through our hair as we sculpted sand turtles and watched the sun’s mesmerizing descent over the horizon. Together, we crafted cherished memories that will undoubtedly be cherished for years to come.
